Hal France Performs in a Native American cantata in Lincoln Crossroads Festival

At the first Lincoln Crossroads Music Festival (August 2019), Instructor of Musical Theatre, Hal France, performed in “Standing Bear: A Ponca Indian Cantata,” which was sung in Ponca and accompanied by interpretive paintings by Ponca artist Sarah Rowe. Composed by Jerod Impichchaachaaha Tate, the Cantata chronicles the Ponca Trail of Tears and the landmark trial of Chief Standing Bear. In this performance, Hal France collaborated with Music Director Eric Higgins, Stage Director Jill Anderson and soloist Grant Wood.
