UNO art adjunct, Jody Boyer, received the Best in Show Award for her photograph, Chamomile Still Life (sculpture for photograph), in the F/Stop 2020 exhibition. Held at the Polk County Heritage Gallery in Des Moines, F/Stop 2020 was a state-wide juried photo exhibition. Jody’s photograph encapsulates life in the pandemic as she used items from her garden and kitchen to create the still life. The exhibition’s juror liked her choice of a square format and found that the image encapsulated the new ways of working that artists had to discover during the pandemic.
